Designer's note

Boro is a Japanese textile tradition of repairing fabrics over and over with scraps and visible stitching. Each fragment preserved a piece of the original garment, and the accumulation of layers ended up creating compositions that were never designed all at once.

We have translated that logic onto canvas using blocks that appear added, displaced, and rejoined. The subtle blue refers to the indigo common in these fabrics; the eggplant, mauve, and mustard are our own, more chromatic interpretation of the tones a fabric acquires through use and the passage of time.
